What this service is

Crypto AML Checker screens a crypto wallet address against free, publicly available data sources (sanctions lists, ransomware-address databases) and, when there's no direct match, analyzes the wallet's most recent on-chain activity for links to such addresses, up to two hops deep.

What the result is — and isn't

A result is not a legal opinion, financial advice, or a guarantee that an address is safe to transact with. It reflects a snapshot of a limited set of free data sources, which are updated with some delay and don't cover every chain or address. The decision to proceed with any transaction is entirely yours.

Fair use

The public checker is free, but requests are rate-limited per IP address to keep the service available for everyone and to protect the (rate-limited, free-tier) blockchain-explorer API keys behind the hop analysis. Automated bulk scraping beyond that limit, or use of the service for unlawful purposes, is not permitted.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is," on a best-effort basis, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted availability.
